In related news, M&S has been in dispute over redevelopment of it’s flagship store on Oxford Street for some time, with the relevant minister in central government threatening to have the plans “called in” for review (potentially rejection)
(Personally I think the proposed frontage could be retained or redesigned to be more in keeping with Selfridges next door, although the building to the back of the site does need redevelopment and could also be designed to better reflect it’s more eminent neighbour across Orchard Street).
