Dive Brief: Adding another feature to its offerings, Klarna released a new search tool that helps customers compare prices before making purchases, according to a Wednesday announcement.
Klarna clearly is desperate to find traction and feels like they are wanting to become a marketplace for the brands that currently use them as a payments solution.
I don’t see this ending well for them!
Klarna were selling this to me on Friday and AR shopping tools. I know their EU head well over here and he has zero budget to do even wine tasting pre Holidays this year (crazy, Snoop Dogg must be getting his Christmas bonus). And they have a bit of a staff freeze going on too. Moving quickly to self serve everywhere over deep integration and their credit bubble is building. Over 800m in new debt added this year is what it reported. The last thing they need is a recession where people will be choosing pyaing light and heat over unregulated credit co’s
I think all the budget for wine tasting at Klarna is long gone. Along with most of the VC money 
They introduced themselves as a media platform in April at a conf in Belfast - writing is on the wall on this one ! Nice to be on board. Thank you @rickwatson
