I see these as a palliative device, indicating that

a. your WMS isn’t allowing you to maintain perpetual inventory properly
b. your warehouse processes are poor
c. your warehouse discipline (people management, loss prevention) is deficient.

Maybe the palliative is cheaper than doing the right thing, or doing the thing right.

Better uses for AI in a DC, to audit and reinforce doing the right thing right.

I think this is the most right post all day. Getting things right the first time is the only way to develop any kind of sustainable logistics operation.
