There used to be a free parts database website on the internet to find compatible parts (once you found the manufacturer part number from the dealer or from other online sources). Much missed
Went through that process for an older grey-import Nissan that I used to drive (rare but not valuable), where local parts stores could not easily supply parts (even though it was a model that used to be sold in the UK although not with the specific engine that was in mine). Sourced the unusual parts from eBay and Amazon (US as it happens, since the same model was sold in Canada, so it was possible to find compatibles and NOS parts).
Don’t have that problem anymore, drove that car into the ground and scrapped it, and living in Central London decided I could manage without owning, just renting/transport/taxis.
