Amazon debuts generative AI tools that helps sellers write product

RoboWriter to the rescue. Will this help or hurt Sellers?

Can you hear that sound in the background? This made various startups that offered product content creation via generative AI for Amazon sellers irrelevant.

I did hear that. “BOOM” pretty amazing sure didn’t take long for that to happen.

And Mirakl, and Pimberly. Yawn.

Where this will get really interesting is when generative AI can compelling replace photo studios, especially for “on model” shots, with a high degree of accuracy of product, in bulk, unaided, and avoiding the “uncanny valley”.

Even better when the AI can generate multiple versions of the same image (on same core “human” model), into an multivariate testing process where the customer conversion, customer reviews, and customers returns in effect tunes the model for accuracy. That needs a significant additional shift in commerce data capture to “feed” the model i.e. recording which version of the imagery/description was shown to the customer and tracked through cart abandonment but also through the order lifecycle.

I have been wanting something like this for the last decade. I think we are getting close. Maybe in the next 2-3 years from what I can tell at this stage.
